Our Eggs
Our eggs are conveyed daily from the layer sheds straight to the grading floor and without storage on the way. Using the latest technology available in the industry, we grade, pack and dispatch daily to ensure our customers received the freshest and the safest eggs available in town. Tamarix also provides a range of eggs in filler packs for the foodservice industry including bakery, café, catering and distribution.

Animal Welfare & Food Safety
Tamarix Poultry Farm and our suppliers operate to the ‘Model Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals – Domestic Poultry’ as well as the food safety codes. We maintain compliance with HACCP Applications & Principles. We also maintain compliance with Egg Standards of Australia (ESA) “Rearing & Laying” and “Grading & Packing” which is an industry voluntary quality assurance program. These are recertified every year to ensure we maintain the highest quality standards.
Our farm
Much like Tamarix Poultry and Egg Farm, family farms have been the foundation of Australian agriculture for a long time and the Postregna family’s Tamarix egg production enterprise on Melbourne’s sprawling south east fringe reflects a typical history.
It started “closer in” and moved out in response to the expanding metropolis, adapting to changing circumstances but staying focused on the core business.
